The Irish Sangha Trust (IST) was established in 2011 to support and foster teaching and meditation practice in the Theravada Buddhist tradition in Ireland. The Irish Sangha Trust is non-profit Buddhist organization, entirely dependent on the generosity of the public for voluntary donations.

Our annual schedule includes regular workshops, retreats and meditation sittings. Events are open to everyone from beginners to experienced practitioners. We welcome you to join our spiritual friends network and experience the profound benefits of meditation practice.

Invitation to Host Dana/Meitheal Days in 2025

Happy New Year everyone, in 2025 we are inviting sangha members to offer their home for a day of practice through meitheal.

Do you need some housework spring cleaning, painting, or gardening done? Maybe reorganizing a room? If so, would you be generous enough to allow the sangha to contribute?

Have a ponder, and if you're up for it, or would like to know more, please send us an email info@irishsanghatrust.ie or DM Mo on the Dublin Sangha WhatsApp group to organise a chat. The idea would be to spend the day in noble silence, begin with sitting meditation, have a potluck lunch, and spend time practicing through meitheal.

We hope that this practice will be offered every 6 weeks or so.

Best wishes,

IST
